Kicking off statewide, Indiana's Cash for College campaign features practical tips and resources to help Hoosier students of all ages pay for education beyond high school. All public and state accredited-nonpublic K-12 schools in Indiana will receive shipments of Cash for College materials in January 2013. Each box will be clearly marked with a bright green label that has the state seal. This year’s Cash for College shipments will include the following:
Planning Guides: Use these guides to help plan Cash for College activities at your school. This year’s campaign we are featuring contests for all K-12 students and a $1,000 Cash for College Challenge for high schools.
Posters: Display around your school to encourage students to learn about paying for college (note that posters are two-sided to provide additional information regarding Indiana public and private colleges. The college map can be posted all year.)
Student Info & Activity Cards: Distribute to students to promote the campaign goals and contests. (Student winners receive Indiana CollegeChoice 529 Savings Plans to be used for educational expenses.)
Indiana CollegeChoice 529 pamphlet: A one-page information sheet to help you get the word out about Indiana’s CollegeChoice 529 Plan.
21st Century Scholar Senior Affirmation Forms: High Schools seniors enrolled in the 21st Century Scholars program must submit an affirmation form by March 10, 2013 to remain eligible for their scholarship. (NOTE: Affirmations can also be submitted online at www.scholars.in.gov. Call 1-888-528-4719 to request an updated 21st Century Scholars roster for your school.)
